Health and fitness isn’t just a fad, it’s a lifestyle for Andréa Morrison. As our Health, Fitness, and Recreation Coordinator, Andréa is helping to change our community’s health one person at a time by supporting you in setting, reaching, and exceeding your personal wellness goals.

Andréa is a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, but her education in health and wellness doesn’t stop there. With over 20 years of experience as a teacher, instructor, athletic coordinator, and consultant, Andréa has also completed courses in active ageing and is a certified Kripalu and Power Yoga Instructor. Working with clients of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities is a strength of Andréa’s, and her ultimate goal at the Sportsplex is to make health and wellness more accessible and available than ever to our community.

As an active member of the Nova Scotia health and wellness community, Andréa volunteers with the Dartmouth Wellness Collective and is in-the-know when it comes to the latest trends emerging in the fitness world. Andréa loves bringing new, exciting classes and programs to the Dartmouth Sportsplex and spends a lot of her time talking to patrons about what they’d like to see on our schedules.

When she isn’t leading one of her famous yoga classes, monitoring the fitness centre, or working on schedules in her office, you can find her exploring the great outdoors, relaxing with some arts, crafts, and music, or hanging out with one of her eight siblings. Andréa is excited for the future of the Sportsplex, and can’t wait to bring even more health education opportunities to our users.
